Here's a little tidbit on the casting of the new Stephen King flick... will it be yet another title that suffers from the Stephen King curse, or one of the few great films that's come out of his body of work?
Quote:
The upcoming adaptation of Steven King's 1408, directed by Mikael Hafstrom, is set to star both John Cusack (High Fidelity, Pushing Tin, Con Air) and Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Coach Carter).
The spine tingling tale centres on a paranormal debunker who takes up residence in the supposedly haunted environs of room 1408 at The Dolphin Hotel, cue an increase in paranormal activity to be explored by Cusack's character.
Opposite Cusack's paranormal investigator Jackson will play the hotel manager, in a film that is sure to have horror fans on the edge of their seats.
The Dimension Films project will be produced by Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and Variety report that Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, the writers behind The People Vs Larry Flynt, will be responsible for the screenplay.
