Filming on the first episode of the second season of MASTERS OF HORROR wrapped this past Friday in Vancouver. The John Landis-directed FAMILY, written by Brent (FRAILTY) Hanley, stars George (KING OF THE ANTS) Wendt as a seemingly normal suburban man who works from home, but has serious skeletons in his closet and voices in his head. It?s extremely dark material, and unlike anything we?ve seen from Landis before.

Landis is one of seven filmmakers from the first season who have signed to return to the MASTERS realm. It?s pretty fair to say they all had a good experience. ?The reaction from the directors who were here last year is?they?re all here this year, and thrilled to be back.? says Vancouver-based producer Tom Rowe. ?So, again, Landis leads off, and Dario Argento is number two.? Argento has just started filming PELTS, a script by Matt (WHITE NOISE 2) Venne; that episode will feature rocker-turned-actor Meat (BLOODRAYNE) Loaf.
?Tobe [Hooper] is number three,? Rowe continues. ?John Carpenter (directing the Drew McWeeny/Scott Swan-scripted PRO-LIFE) is four. Ernest [DEMON KNIGHT] Dickerson is a new one this year?he?s number five. Joe Dante?s coming back (directing another script by HOMECOMING?s Sam Hamm); Stuart Gordon (doing Poe?s THE BALCK CAT) is coming back. They had a great time. We kind of beat them up and kissed them on the way out the door and they all decided to come back.?
