Well there was mention of Segas games based upon the Alien IP, now there's been some videos of a ghostbusters 'mockup' circulating on youtube. Click Read More for videos.

It's not so much a matter of who you're gonna call, but who you're gonna ask to prove the authenticity of a series of videos depicting a Ghostbusters-themed third-person-shooter on YouTube (thanks, Ain't It Cool News). A third Ghostbusters movie has been rumored for years, but if that can't happen, revitalization via videogame doesn't seem farfetched. But, that hardly proves the footage in question is a real game.
For one, the movement and environments are eerily similar to Epic Games' own Gears of War. Additionally, the running animations and camera movements are eerily similar (and not in the ghoulish sort of way) to the game. And this goes without mentioning that the accompanying artwork for the game actually features a Locust head in the top right-hand corner, next to the tower.
The videos have been attributed to Zootfly, a studio who apparently last worked on Panzer Elite Action with JoWood Productions and Deep Silver and have been developing their next-gen tech. ever since. Did they give up, license the Unreal Engine 3 and create a tech. demo based on a possible resurrection of the Ghostbuters? Sort of -- Zootfly says they are from an internal prototype they've been using to secure the Ghostbusters license.
"We are very glad to see the overwhelming response to the Ghostbusters prototype movies. What you've seen is indeed in-game footage of early prototypes on the Xbox 360, running on ZootFly's proprietary engine. Due to licensing issues, further development of the Ghostbusters game hit a bump on the road, but everybody here at ZootFly is working actively on resolving the challenges with the owners of the Ghostbusters IP.
Not to lose the momentum, a part of the ZootFly team is currently working on an original game called TimeO, which is closely related to Ghostbusters. The game follows the adventures of two die-hard New Yorkers. They get trapped deep in the shadow world of a parallel New York. The city itself is a war machine threatening to wipe out our world and they have three days to stop it.
As soon as the Ghostbusters IP issue is resolved, the whole team will go back to Ghostbusters."
That doesn't really explain all the similarities to Gears of War, though, does it? There seems to be more to this story -- stay tuned.
ahah... i have that game on the Master System. Sucks monkey balls.
No, this one is a tad more powerful than the 22 year old Ghostbusters game. It looks to be using the gears of war/unreal 3 engine.
Its a bid for a games license, problem is if its going to be based on the Gears of War engine, Columbia owns the Ghostbusters license, and in turn, Sony own the Columbia company.
