Recently a ed2k site, sharevirus.com has been hacked and its database shared. This in itself wouldn't be reason to care much, however it has been circulated with a full user information intact, that includes hashed passwords, usernames, ips and full private message records.
The following concerns only users of sharevirus.com or fucktheinter.net:
This is a strong recommendation to:
Change your password if you believe you are at risk, this would be the case if you have a weak dictionary based password and use the same password/username at every site
Operate a different password policy at different sites, ie. if you care about one site more than others, use a secure number/case/letter based password. Its probably a good idea to use different levels of passwords for different places.
Personally, I operate different passwords at different sites to avoid this kind of mess.
Once again, this only relates to users of ShareVirus.com which was recently hacked.
