** John Carpenter's DARKCHYLDE: The famous genre director has signed on to direct a film adaptation of the comic. The story follows Ariel Chylde, an ordinary Southern teenager cursed to transform into the creatures from her various nightmares and act out her deepest, darkest impulses. WETA workshop will provide the effects. The comic itself was a major sensation in the late 90's and early 2000's, scoring major acclaim and outselling many major titles.
