The radiation from a fallen satellite causes the recently deceased to rise from the grave and seek the living to use as food. This is the situation that a group of people penned up in an old farmhouse must deal with.
The dead come back to life and eat the living in this low budget, black and white film. Several people barricade themselves inside a rural house in an attempt to survive the night. Outside are hordes of relentless, shambling zombies who can only be killed by a blow to the head.

Comments:
Whilst the original night of the Livind Dead in its original form is one of the greatest horror films ever shot, this is the same movie in a different form, and to fair, the results are poor at best and leaves the whole 30th Anniversary unneeded and a tad crappy.
This edition contains a much looser/poorer edit and a whole host of extra scenes, bangles and borbles, unfortunately they do little more than make pointless extensions to what started as a solid movie in every respect. It's very much like Argento's cut of Dawn, different, but inferior. The score I'm giving this reflects the edition and not the movie... the original, unedited version is a solid 5 star movie.
FOR COLLECTORS... hold out for the original, uncolourised, unedited version if you either haven't seen, or or only want the film to achive. If you haven't seen this, and love Romero's movies, go for it :-)
