Bill Hinzman (zombie in the graveyard at the beginning of Night of the Living Dead 1968) wrote, produced, directed and starred in this film about the dead returning to life to feed on the flesh of the living.
Why exactly the dead are rising remains a mystery though as I don't recall there being any one explanation provided for it throughout the film. Nonetheless, it's a fun, cheesy and gory enough gut-mucher to kill an hour and a half. Hintzman is a zombie legend as well.
