After their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, during a storm, a group of kids find refuge in an old, abandoned house. As you can probably guess from the title, this was a very bad idea.
Although ultimately unable to live up to the enourmous amounts of hype surrounding this film, most were left dissapointed. For gorefans, there was disappointment when it turned out that this film was cut, and the uncut version won't see the light of day for a while, similarly out and out horror fans were dissapointed by the slightly inferior horror film was delivered (at least in regards to expectation).
However, don't let the criticisms distract you. This is a very quirky and enjoyable horror film, if borrowing slightly from the like of Texas Chainsaw Masacre. The film is very Rob Zombie, quirky and loud and the insanity seems to kick in to an ever increasing level towards the end. Entertaining if slightly dissapointing.
