Ash finds himself stranded in the 13th Century with his car, his shotgun, and his chainsaw. Soon he is discovered and thought to be a spy for a rival kingdom and is taken prisoner. After proving his merit in The Pit, he decides to help the kingdom retrieve the Necronomicon (which will also help him return to his own time)
A rare sight indeed. After the down right awesomeness of Evil Dead 2, it was bond not to be able to top that film, yet Army of Darkness is cool and a worthy addition to the trilogy. Although unsuccessful on it's initial launch, probably due to the generally crappy advertising, this film must have made a bundle from video sales... as it is one of the most quoted films I've ever come across. I've heard referances in games (Duke Nukem must be a rip off of Ash, Graal, etc.), forums, books, other films ("what would Bruce Campbell do?"), you name it...
